The Chinese New Year Cultural Association is a non-profit incorporation. It is granted tax exemption by the Internal Revenue Services as a 501(c)(3) organization.
The association is governed by the board of directors. Directors of the board are the representatives of the local Chinese community organizations which are the member organizations of the association.
Each year, the board elects its officers.
